Last year in May, the Lord gave me visions all night about what is happening today. He did not show me the full picture, but He said that it would seem devastating and that it was medical related. In one of the visions, He showed me hearing about what was happening and wailing like a baby in dread of how we would survive. But then, I was not able to keep crying, because I would burst into laughter and jokes.

I understood in the vision that the faithfulness of the Lord would be too good to worry about anything. Then on that same night, He started to give me a prophetic love letter of promise and He used the ancient “Silk Road” as an example of His loving-kindness and goodness to provide in the midst of the crisis. That love letter is this, “The Blessings of the Silk Umbrella”.

The Lord showed me that if we will trust in Him as our source and cling to His promises, that He would deliver all that we need and so much more! I had almost forgotten this precious night, as the worries of our needs and many fears sought to steal my sleep this past week. For many days I was tossing and turning with fear and worry. Every time the worries would show up, I would give them God and then release them into His plan of care for us.

What I discovered was that God was faithful to show up to take care of us again and again and again. Before any newspaper knew about what was going to happen to our world, God was already there. He has kept count of our tossings and He has gone ahead to prepare everything that we need.

You observe my wanderings and my sleeping, my waking and my dreaming, and You know everything I do in more detail than even I know. Psalm 139:3

I think it was about 3 years ago when the Lord asked me to rent a hotel room for me and my kids when we were on the verge of being homeless. I spent all of the money that I had and I paid for a few nights to stay. I had no idea what would happen after that. My only trust was in God to show up as He promised to provide and protect.

Whenever my cup of money would run low, God would refill us out of the faithfulness of His word. For over one thousand nights, the Lord has kept us sheltered in a room, just as He promised. Not once have we been without the safety and comfort of our room.

There have been close calls and times when my faith was stretched beyond what I thought I could handle, but God was faithful to His promise, even when I was faithless. This is a photo of when we first started this journey in a Florida Super 8. We were blowing bubbles in our room because the heat was very intense outside. I cried more in this place than I had in any others because I was terrified and I felt so alone. Now looking back, I am amazed at how good God has been to take care of us.

We are so wealthy with His words of promise. He has promised to care for us, even in the heat and famine. It takes courage to relax our defenses and trust in His words to hold us up supernaturally. If you read anything today, let it be His promise to hold you, protect you and care for you as His own beloved child.

Reach deep with your roots of faith and absorb the waters of His word. He will certainly provide abundantly all that we need out of His riches. Fear comes when we try to understand how. That is when we need to become like little children and trust in His plans. Please take a moment today to read the “Blessings of the Silk Umbrella” as you bask in the warmth of your Father’s plan of loving-kindness. He is with you.

Love and blessings,

Dannette Lynn

To send a blessing:

    But blessed is the one who trusts in Me alone;
        the Eternal will be his confidence.
     He is like a tree planted by water,
        sending out its roots beside the stream.
    It does not fear the heat or even drought.
        Its leaves stay green and its fruit is dependable, no matter what it faces.

Jeremiah 17:7-8
