A Nazarite Annointing

There are some who have been going through a deep purification. They have been separated and chosen. The separation has also been of the world. The interest in worldly things, such as television, entertainment, and worldly possessions have almost vanished.

The reason is that deep in your belly there has been a hunger growing for the Kingdom of God and an intense burning to see the radiance of Gods glory manifest in your life.

You have been chosen for this role from before you were born. There is a cup of oil over your head, it’s a Nazarite anointing.

The Hebrew meaning of Nazarite is Nazir Elohim, “One Separated to God”. The cry of your heart has likely been similar to the cry in Psalm 141, “Let my heart not be drawn to what is evil, to take part in their wicked deeds”. Some may have called you an “extreme” or a “radical” but Heaven calls you “Devoted”.

All throughout the Bible, there is mention of the Nazarite Vow that was taken to be set apart for God. In 2 Chronicles, the Levites had decided to set themselves apart for God by removing all the evil things and consecrating themselves to God.

“Then Hezekiah declared, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, bring your sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings to the Temple of the LORD.” So the people brought their sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings, too. (2 Chronicles 29:31).

I added emphasis to the final line in this scripture because it was those who had a willing heart would bring the “burnt” offering. In this time, it also takes a willing heart to allow God to bring the fire of His presence to purify those hearts He has chosen to serve him in the deepest places.

You may have thought that you were last and forgotten. Perhaps you wondered why God was allowing so much anguish and pain to touch you. The truth is that you are among the first. You are chosen to go into the deepest places in His Holy presence. It is with your pure heart that you will see God. You will swim deep into His waters and pick up enormous fruits that have been hidden just for you.

In the Nazarite vow, it was forbidden to cut your hair. In the Greek, the word Nezer is also ” a crown or diadem on the head”. Your hair is the crown of God’s Glory that He places on your head. Just as Joseph came out of prison and Pharaoh gave him his robe and his signet ring; as you are being taken up out of the prison of seclusion that you have been in, God will place a crown of Glory on your head. You were made to be a display of Gods Glory. He may have allowed you to suffer injustice and shame, but He is replacing that shame with Double honor because you truly represent Heaven.

There must be a choice to go into His fiery presence, the refiner’s fire. A descendent of the Levites was the Kohath and they had charge of carrying the holiest vessels on their shoulders. The transitive verb meaning of Shoulder is, “to assume the burden or responsibility”.

“but the sons of Kohath he gave none, because theirs was the service of the Holy things, which they carried on their shoulders” (Numbers 7:9).

When much is given, much is required. God wants to take you into places in Him that no one has been before. The cost of this anointing is much, the weight is heavy, but it is worth the price. Not only does it take a willing heart, but one hungry for God.

If this message has touched your heart,  I pray that a cloud of His Glory fills your temple:

“As soon as Solomon finished his prayer, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offerings and the sacrifices, and the Glory of the Lord filled the temple and the priests could not enter the house of the Lord because the Glory of the Lord filled the house”(2 Chronicles 7:1-2).

By Faith in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ,
